I heard your lecture and saw your work several times at the Eide/Dalrymple Gallery at Augustana College in Sioux Falls. Today (March 26, 2012) was the first I came around to reading Deadly sins and Measured Virtues.
The day I first saw your work and heard your lecture I was in a state of awe about your drawings. I had been figure drawing the knight before and was really frustrated by my inability to really see and render a back. I thought less of your work at the opening because I felt it was just a load of print maker tricks.
I went back again and was able to get a little deeper into the depths and was again in awe. And now I just read the statements by Charles Bowden and you.
Strong poetry, strong statements and strong art. I'll just leave with my feelings of the first day ... Thank you Ms. Briggs. Your work is a good and arduous journey.

Dear Ms. Briggs,<br
