the phrase “I’m dirty, mean, mighty unclean” IS NOT from the song “Big Balls”, but rather from “TNT”.
Pobody’s Nerfect, I guess, huh?
very cool to remind me of Garland Jefferys – he was amazing! what happened to him? anyway, thanks…The Story of AC/DC: Let There Be Rock biography is a labor of love in the truest sense of the word, as it is written by personal friend of the band and fanatic Susan Masino. One thing that is somewhat surprising about this book is that while there is a relationship between writer and the band it wasn?t tagged with the words ?official? or ?authorized? I?m sure there?s a story behind that and I?d love to read that as well. Masino drew me in from page one and I kept on reading until the very end. While I am an AC/DC fan, I?ll admit I?m somewhat of a novice. Sure, I know more of the history post-Bon and in reading Let There Be Rock I learned more about the early beginnings of the band. From their childhoods, to the author?s first meeting with the band to the various line-up changes to the last album and tour behind Stiff Upper Lip, there?s a lot of ground covered and done brilliantly in one volume. I have no idea how Masino trimmed this down to 256 pages, but this is an informative, entertaining journey and an example of astounding storytelling. Fort the most part Susan Masino tells the story of the AC/DC through first hand accounts of her being there or information obtained directly from the band through personal conversation. Like with most biographies there are bits of information that are common knowledge, here a common one would be how the band actually got their name but there are many nuggets found throughout and I?m not revealing them here. No spoiler here my friends. Obviously, this is essential reading for diehards but I think any hard rock fan should take a crack at Let There Be Rock.
Ok i have been a big AC/DC fan my hole life and iam doing a Big project for english its worth like 4 year my grade and ive decided to do it on AC/DC but i need a bio. The school dose not have it and i cant find it anywary i dont have a creadt card so i can order one do you know where i could find

It occurred to me the other day that perhaps Masimo might have confused Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" with the old Willie Dixon blues tune "I Ain't Superstitious," which was perhaps most famously covered by Jeff Beck and Rod Stewart on the 1968 Jeff Beck Group album "Truth." Widely acknowledged as one of the pioneering expressions of heavy metal, the album includes guest players Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and Keith Moon, and has been cited by Boston's Tom Scholz as being his favorite album. I'm not sufficiently familiar with AC/DC's catalog to know whether this is the song they covered, but it seems to me more like their style.

Bon got the words " i'm dirty mean and mighty unclean " from an ad that used to play on tv in australia during the 70's.It was an ad for fly spray, the fly was called Louie the fly and i think it was Mortein fly spray...from memory.
the ad used to drive everyone crazy because the jingle got stuck in your head...obviously got stuck in Bon's ..lol.

The Story of AC/DC - Let There Be Rock - added - February 18th, 2007

The Story of AC/DC: Let There Be Rock biography is a labor of love in the truest sense of the word, as it is written by personal friend of the band and fanatic Susan Masino. Like with most biographies there are bits of information that are common knowledge, here a common one would be how the band actually got their name but there are many nuggets found throughout and I?m not revealing them here. No spoiler here my friends. Obviously, this is essential reading for diehards but I think any hard rock fan should take a crack at Let There Be Rock.

the phrase "I'm dirty, mean, mighty unclean" IS NOT from the song "Big Balls", but rather from "TNT".
