I READ STIFF SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND WAS VERY IMPRESSED. I WENT TO AN ANATOMY LECTURE WITH THE BOOK IN MIND AND HAVE SINCE DONATED MY BODY TO THE UNIVERSITY. IALSO WAS LISTENING TO YOUR NPR INTERVIEW AND WAS SO INGROSSED I GOT A SPEEDING TICKET. THANK YOU FOR FUN SCIENCE

I LOVE SPOOK and STIFF!!!! I am only in sixth grade and I found these books really interesting. Wow. I dont know what to do with my body when I die. MR, why did you make those books? I have many questions to ask you. Though I dont know if Ill be able to ever interview you. Are you writing another book? So then you basically traveled the world? Really cool. You use many scientific words. I like the way that you put many facts in a humorous way. You’re books are really fun to read. ^_^

I found the book (on tape) extremely irritating. She has no answers. Scoffs always at what she herself cannot experience. There are many of us who DO belive in things she cannot see. But because we are not publicity-seekers, and are not charlatons-she laughs. I put up with this book for 5 of the 6 tapes, and finally could not stand it anymore. I am a sane, logical woman seeking an answer to my experiences. Science?? Give me a break! I have photos. Just wanted some corroboration-not laughter! “NOTE”: Ms. Roach: Get out into the real world and investigate US! I don’t want to know about ancient history-just about the here-and-now-in MY world! Laugh not!

Wow… I just finished reading STIFF… being a massage therapist and having been through a series of hands-on cadaver classes at the local university (not to practice massage, but for the anatomy lessons…), I have to say that all the questions I came up with at that time were very wittingly answered with that book. I just ordered SPOOK and can’t wait to see what she has to say… her style of writing makes learning about uncomfortable subjects..well, fun.

I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENS AFTER DEATH BUTTHERE IS SOMETING OF SELF WHICH HANGS IN THIS WORLD AFTER ONE DIES WHAT IS IT. I CANTT AFFORD TO BUY THE BOOK “SPOOK” CAN ANY BODY TELL ME EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ONE DIES WITH PROOF. NO THEORIES OR PHILOSOPHY ENTERTAINED. PLEASE COMMENT AUTHORITATIVELY WITH PROOF.

I absolutely loved “Spook”. Will be reading “Stiff” soon. I was so taken aback when I walked in the book store and found the book on exactly what I had been wondering about. The research and the very entertaining writing kept me going. I too, am searching for that something (proof) and hope that yes, my “me-ness” still hangs around afterward and I get to do stuff and see things still.
