Language is not a drowning man. And the critical factor of ownership is important here. How many of us feel we &#039;own&#039; languge the way we hold the illusion of &#039;owning&#039; a DVD, for example? I think langugae gets better when a) We are not defeatist, and b) We prove we can produce and c) Share and own it.
