When I read Jarvis Cocker is in the film, I didn't realize he is "IN" the film. The puppet looks exactly like him. It even moves the same way as Jarvis. I loved it when Mr. Bean dissed his silly banjo song.
Indeed, the film is "cussing A". After the awesome tearjerker "Up", this one is refreshingly funny. I was laughing all the time, and to think that I'm usually unmoved by the dry-humor in Wes Anderson's movies, you know, those smarty ass conversations that makes one feel like an idiot if you don't get the line.
@ Edna Ramirez, I did not notice that since there is also a French speaking rat, a South African aviator, an Italian Rabbit chef, and basically the animals were Americans, the only English characters here were the villains.

Why is there an opossum in the movie? It takes place in England, the vehicles have the steering wheel on the right side and yet, one of the main characters, one of the wild animals is an opossum? Did anybody notice this mistake?

Yes, Jarvis Cocker has a wonderful little musical number and a few lines. You may remember that he also did music for the fourth Harry Potter film. His bit in FMF is pretty amazing. If for nothing else, you may want to check it out for him. Because I wasn't sure if viewers would know his music, I didn't include that in the review. In short, the movie's a lot of fun.

The trailer is a tad bit awful so I kinda wanna pas on this one, but I heard so many good things about this film, including good reviews from Anderson haters. Ebert gave this 2 thumbs up, so this should be great.
Wait, Jarvis Cocker?, as in Pulp-Disco 2000-Common People Jarvis Cocker or is that a namesake? Now, I really want to see this.
