In military hierarchy, there is no room for opinion. Why would an officer report to an enlisted man? isPermaLink="false">http://calitreview.com/?p=4560#comment-67331

The dialogue between some of the men is so incredibly tense while barely feigning some level of civility and cheer that you can't help but appreciate the acting and the script writing. I am not simply speaking of the scenes involving Colonel Landa. The scene in the basement tavern is extremely well written, and when "The Bear Jew" is taking his sweet slow time to come out from the dark abyss under that bridge... by the time he finally did emerge you almost felt like any poor sap would have got up and ran in fear (like one soldier tried anyways).
Also... I don't think Raine was doing cocaine... preeeeetty sure that wasn't cocaine. But hey, you're entitled to your opinions. Even if they're wrong.
Also... Raine didn't report back to his "Sergent" on the radio... undoubtedly 1st Lieutenant Aldo Raine was reporting to someone a little higher than a Sergent on the food chain. ESPECIALLY if said someone was authorizing pardons and medals and the like. Again, you're welcome to your opinions, they just don't have to be particularly good ones.

The dialogue between some of the men is so incredibly tense while barely feigning some level of civility and cheer that you can’t help but appreciate the acting and the script writing.
