Amazing. A painting. Were these real people ? Probably. 1000 years ago. Their faces are fair and almost perfect complexion. A lot of resemblence, in their lips and mouth. Small mouth but full lips. Look at their, her appears to be painted or feathered, on the man as well. A fashion, or sense of one, the leaves as a crown, cloth for clothing, so accepted to them. Her fingernails are short, probably ground down finely, but with what ? She has a ring and bracelet. Her neckless and earrings look to be made of gold -no doubt. Her jewelery would be considered poorly skilled by todays standards. It was skilled by hand from scratch, hence a true meaning of man-made. She loves her ring. I see them just like us all, but in a way so different. We will never know what it was really like living then.

"Pornography" nonsense! It's life! One has to wonder who is better adjusted when it came to sex, the ancients, or so called "moderns."

When a article such as this is printed calling attention to particular works of art, it would be nice to see photos, unless we must use our imagination, buy the book or go to Pompeii.

When we were walking around in Pompeii it was like walking around in a dream. A beautiful yet omnious dream, for, well, we had some clear views on that sleeping Vesuvian..

It seems the mighty have far greater appetite for erotic arts and acts then Joe Average does. Is there a correlation between the two, between omnipotence power and an overdrive craving for sex? Of course there is, and we have known that for ages. Forementioned Farnese, Borgia and Murat in those bygone days had there kicks, but we have ample contemporary examples: JFK himself seemed to have been a priapic president, Mao behaved like some busy bee, deflouring virgins. The other day Putin, unaware for some standby microphone, stated he was jealous of that Israeli Minsiter who had been charged with multiple rape.

Anyway, I feel like revisiting Pompeii.
