Of course, none of the original voices for Betty Boop are alive. After all, they were all born in early 19th century.
Here are the deaths of some of the women:
Ann Rothschild: Death 1981
Bonnie Poe: Death 1993
Mae Questel: Death 1998

@ V.EG

Of course, none of the original voices for Betty Boop are alive. After all, they were all born in early 19th century.

Here are the deaths of some of the women:

Ann Rothschild: Death 1981<br

ann rothschild actually spoke in the way she spoke for betty boop in real life.

i remember ann rothschild, she won a contest but soon after she quit being the voice of the animated character betty boop.

ann rothschild actually spoke in the way she spoke for betty boop in real life.

By: Rose

<guid

then in 1933 she went on to play betty boop in person and also made live apperences as betty.
they say she was a singer before that and a RKO discovery but i cannot find any information about her anywhere.
also the fleischer studios Betty Boop Bio states kate wright, little ann little, and mae questel had entered a contest
which must have been the helen kane contest.
Mae Questel won first place

also her filmography as Betty Boop was from 1931 – 1933<br

its amazing that you found something of little ann littles becuse that makes perfect sence
also that she was your dance teacher it makes super sence
it all goes into place now
ive read some fleischer studios books and here are some things about little ann werner/little ann little/ little ann rothschild.
Little Ann Little gained fame nearly 50 years ago as the voice of Betty Boop 1931 to 1933, Little ann little made recordings for the “Betty Boop“ cartoons and appeared in variety shows throughout the country. Once Ann had gotten the role of Betty Boop she had became a star. Paramount was holding a contest for a girl with a squeaky voice for the role of the Cartoon character Betty Boop. Ann tried out for the role and had got the part. Ann Rothschild also made personal apperances as Betty Boop.
Little ann Little went on the road with the Fleischer Studios artist pauline comanor, little ann little would pose while pauline drew her as Betty boop. they both finished the act with a "boop-boop-a-doop."
Ann started in show buisiness in 1925 as a member of the pony chorus with the Greenwich Village Follies, She was also an RKO discovery and at one time had her own program on the NBC network as singer Little Ann Little, Ann later moved to St. Petersburg with her husband who was a retired employe of Consolidated Edison
In the late 1940s, she was an instructor at the Pauline Buhner School of Dance in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she taught acting, singing and dancing.
meaning the amazing cute voice from 1931 - 1933 was little ann little
meaning for the fleischer short Little annie rooney in 1931 she voiced little annie rooney.
i can tell her and questel apart.
Ann was very tiny being only four feet-ten inches and weighed 100 pounds, she also had a squeaky voice which made her perfect for the role of Betty Boop. Ann studied the Bible. her goal was to be an ordianed minister and preach Gospel. From 1954, Ann Rothschild was Ordained as minister in the unity Church of Christianity.
and she died at the age of 71.
its a shame that she didnt make any live apperences in any shorts as Betty Boop
But in person and on vaudiville she played Betty Boop. and danced and had fun.
she later quit, and i think her husband died. but i read that she has many photographs from her days of being betty boop.
the fleischer studios books says little ann was one of the major parts in the betty boop along with mae questel
becuse they were both important.
ann made betty more populer by acting as betty boop in person and making personal apperences as her.
and that was her special ability as betty.
little ann little can be seen on the fleischer victory newsreel
where she is seen beside kate wright, and margie hines and bonnie poe
while they all back up mae questel with some boop boop a dooping.

well Sandy dickson<br

She was my dance teacher in Fort Myers, FL where she eventually died. There is not much written about her quest to become a minister but I read somewhere that she did achieve that calling.

I just found a book in some of my mother’s things called The Contemplation of Christ that formerly belonged to Ann Werner/Annie Rothschild/voice of Betty Boop. wish there was more on her but seems there isnt much more known about her, same goes for kate wright and bonnie poe also margie hines the other voices of betty boop
the only voice of betty boop which was well known had to have been Mae Questel

Well that was a little story about Little ann rothschild but only one thing is wrong about it, Little ann little voiced betty boop in 1931 and then in (1933) then she went onto the road with a betty boop vaudiville act

wish there was more on her but seems there isnt much more known about her, same goes for kate wright and bonnie poe also margie hines the other voices of betty boop

the only voice of betty boop which was well known had to have been Mae Questel

By: Jane McGuigan

<guid

I neither liked nor disliked the cartoon but was out for my full quota of Saturday afternoon movie fun and Betty Boop
was just part of it. So, reading Jascha Kessler's essay,
brought back those days (years) for me and it was amusing
to read about the woman behind the voice and her times on
the golf course when he was present.

I remember Betty Boop from a time when I was older than crawling around in diapers but not yet discriminating.
