Nandan Datta has written a terrific article on the phenomenon that is R.K.Narayan…What i like above all about RKN is the enticing spell he weaves with such an economy of language..ND writes about the relative failure of the story of the Indian who returns from U.S with a Korean wife and a gadget…this story was given expert treatment and converted into a excellent television program, along with other stories and the series was called “Malgudi Days”.
