I think it is a wll written review because it gives relevant information about the books and the author himself even without telling too much about each book plot.
Anyway,I agree with longjohnmcdonald: you should be more accurare about Quinn and Siri identity when you talk about City of Glass.

Nice article! I am of the opinion that Auster is a major writer, or at least a major American writer. My only complaint against him would be that he's too prone to running in circles - would love to see something new. But all is forgiven for The New York Trilogy alone - great book.

The author of this reflection has spent a lot of effort comparing Mr. Auster to other writers, which is certainly a testimony to the writer's broad range. I agree with most comments on how Mr. Auster uses his characters and his complex plot.

Paul Auster's writing style is phenomenal. I'm using Brooklyn Follies in one of my classes. Students are totally enraptured in the characters' lives and the colloquial language used. I can't wait to read another book by Auster.

This is one of the best essays I've read on an author who has recently captured my interest and is quickly becoming one of my very favorites. The compulsivity of these books applies across titles: I find myself interested now in Auster's entire output after making my initial trip through Moon Palace and Timbuktu last year and now completing the New York Trilogy, Oracle Night, and Man In The Dark in a matter of weeks.

Cheers.

That's a really well-written and insightful take on Auster and his work. Really enjoyed it (and have no quibbles about spelling etc.).

Very nice essay but please, please, please: next time do a spell check beforehand, and make sure you get names and titles right too, ok? (For example, it's Arthur Schnitzler and Traumnovelle, to name but a few). And on another note: in City of Glass, Quinn takes on the identity of Paul Auster the detective but also meets the real Paul Auster, i.e., the writer. So Siri is the wife of Auster the writer, unless of course you're suggesting that Quinn and Auster the writer are the same persona.
