Being from Greeley, CO I noted one error, regarding Meeker. The White River Ute Reservation is in No. Colorado, not Wyoming. The town of Meeker in that area is a result of the massacre. As a result of this all Ute Indians on that Reservation were removed from Colorado and joined in Utah what is now called the Uintah and Ouray Reservation, the Ouray Utes being the ones kicked out of Colorado.

I have just read comments from two readers on what I wrote about Asperger's syndrome in my review of Professor Williams' biography of Horace Greeley. I regret that in my review I reproduced what the author had written about the syndrome, since he was clearly so wrong and mistaken.

I did, as I stated in my review, find various inaccuracies in Williams' book. In retrospect, I should have checked more of his statements than I did, including what he wrote about Asperger's syndrome.

If I have offended any readers of my review I hope they will forgive me.

Someone really fouled up their research! Asperger's Syndrome from oxygen deprivation?!?!?!?
Males are NOT the only ones to have Asperger's! Although it is more common in males, females can have it too!

Please check your sources a little better. "Greeley had Asperger?s syndrome, a neurological disorder in men caused by oxygen deprivation at birth, that produces not just intellectual brilliance but a prodigious memory, precocity with language, and eccentric behavior."

Really now, oxygen deprivation at birth? With the wealth of information available on Asperger's Syndrome it amazes me that this would be your description of the disorder. I suggest you go back and do your homework again. You might want to check out some reputable sites on what Asperger's Syndrome really is before you put it in print.
